So here it is... the first full day of Spring... and what do I see out my window?? Snow. Four inches of it. We are not amused (said with an arched eyebrow and a faux Queen Victoria accent).
And we didn't close down today either. Now I now those in Minnesota or Buffalo would laugh in scorn at that statment. Four inches is a "dusting" up there. But the weather here in Indy is so varied from year to year that every snowstorm is like the first one. And you have the ultra-careful drivers and the clueless drivers. Neither really understands the strategy of driving in the snow. Now I'm not the world's greatest driver by any means, but I do all right. And I know both how to be cautious and how to make tracks. I'm more worried about getting in an accident with the other guy out there who hasn't got a clue. I saw a guy in some boat of a car this morning fishtail into the median then bump back to slide across three lanes. Fortunately for him there was only one car even close to him and that person knew how to avoid hitting him or getting hit. As I drove past (on the other side of the 3 lanes) he was still hung up on the curb trying to back out into traffic...
So today is day two of my new position. There's no one even here to show me what to do next... I shoulda stayed home. LOL!
